Rose Room Cafe

At Studio ZCC, our passion extends beyond aesthetics to the stories of ambitious women who dare to dream big. When Jess approached us with her vision for The Rose Room Cafe's second location, it was more than just a business expansion; it was a leap toward creating a memorable and professional identity in a new state. The original Rose Room location lovingly brought to life through Jess's DIY efforts, had blossomed into a beloved community hub. As Jess prepared to replicate this success elsewhere, she sought a branding partner who could weave the essence of her cafe into a visual language that resonated with her values and aspirations.

Our collaboration was set against the backdrop of this challenge: to craft a brand identity and digital presence that would not only introduce The Rose Room Cafe to a new audience but also celebrate the art of coffee, the joy of community, and the beauty of sustainability. Jess's evolution from a self-starter to a thriving entrepreneur embodies the spirit of resilience and passion that defines the very essence of The Rose Room, setting a foundation for a brand that's as authentic and ambitious as the people it serves.

The Rose Room's rebranding intertwines the authentic vibrancy of the cafe culture with a refreshing modernity, creating a space that's both inviting and innovative. Our design ethos leans towards a minimalist yet warm aesthetic to perfectly capture the essence of a contemporary cafe that prides itself on handcrafted quality and a close-knit community feel.

The logo suite for The Rose Room has been meticulously crafted to encapsulate the essence of the cafe's identity, blending tradition with a flair for the contemporary. Each logo in the suite serves a specific purpose to ensure versatility across a wide range of applications—from digital platforms to physical in-store branding. The primary logo, with its sophisticated serif typography, anchors the brand in tradition to convey a sense of timelessness and quality. In contrast, the secondary logos introduce elements of modernity and creativity with their clean lines and minimalist approach that speaks to the cafe’s innovative spirit. The monogarm’s organic, abstract reflection of “RR” for The Rose Room offers a creative and subtle nod to the brand’s initials while capturing the essence of the cafe’s connection to natural and sustainable offerings.

Maria Scott’s illustrations sprinkle a charming quirkiness into The Rose Room’s branding, inviting viewers into the cafe's lively world with connectivity and joyfulness. Each illustration adds a layer of warmth and personality from characters that echo the sense of community to the deep-rooted coffee culture and the freshness depicted through produce and pastry designs. Quilt-inspired motifs further stitch the theme of craftsmanship and connection. Seamlessly uniting Maria’s imaginative artistry with the cafe's spirited ethos, this blend of whimsy and authenticity amplifies The Rose Room’s narrative to create a brand that’s as engaging and unique as the space it represents.

When Maya Normandi got her hands on designing and developing the website, she transformed it into the online equivalent of a cozy cafe corner – inviting, easy to hang out in, and full of all the good stuff. The updated branding and Maria’s delightful illustrations immediately immerse online visitors in the ambiance of The Rose Room. The website is thoughtfully laid out so it’s simple for visitors to navigate through the cafe’s story, get to know the menus, and learn about upcoming events. Representing The Rose Room's ethos online, the site is a welcoming extension of the cafe’s physical locations and is designed to convey their passion for coffee, community, and creativity.

Rebranding The Rose Room felt like teaming up for a delightfully communal brunch, where everyone brought their best dish or brew to the mix. It was all about blending our ideas and specialties as naturally as tossing together ingredients for a nourishing group meal. Led by Studio ZCC, this project was all about blending Jess’s vision for her cafes with a little magic from Maya’s web wizardry and Maria’s playful illustrations. It wasn’t just about giving the cafe a new look; it was about stitching together stories, dreams, and a shared commitment to quality and community.

Jess is the kind of entrepreneur who knows her coffee as well as she knows her community. Teaming up with her was a reminder of how powerful it is when women put their creativity together. From the get-go, it was clear that this project was about creating a space that feels like home, even if you’re just passing through.

With their incredible talents, Maria and Maya helped weave this vision into every pixel and sketch, making sure The Rose Room’s digital doorstep was as welcoming as the real one. This project was a celebration of female entrepreneurship, creativity, and the belief that good things happen when we collaborate.
