Zoe Cope is the daughter of a photographer/director and an artistic production coordinator, organically ingraining her fervor for all things creative + productive.
Born in New York, raised near the beaches and mountains of Santa Monica California, then university educated in San Francisco, Zoe is now living in the redwood covered state of Oregon. Since receiving her BFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from the Academy or Art University in May 2014 she has made her home and jewelry businesses in Portland.
From studying studio art and photography to sculpture and metal, Zoe has always had an underlying devotion for fashion + design and incorporates those elements throughout her other mediums of work.
For Zoe, the thrill of photoshoots is only matched by the joy of pre production. When the entire overall, encompassing vision comes to life in a series or a single frame, that's the great accomplishment.

Zoe received her BFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from the Academy of Art University of San francisco California in 2014. While in college she won the Student Choice Award at the 2013 Spring Show and was chosen to be one of three jewelry designers to collaborate in the 2014 AAU Fashion Show. Also in 2014 her company Birds N Bones Jewelry collaborated with Helen Castillo of Project Runway on her AW14 Fashion Collection.
Birds N Bones Jewelry created in 2013 by Zoe Cope and Ashley Lagasse. Both designers have long been inspired by taxidermy, nature, life and earth sciences, and of course, birds and bones. Their collection of pendants, earrings and rings evokes a natural history museum on display – a myriad of specimens including bird feet, badger claws, mice skulls, lizard heads and python ribs, cast into silver adornments. Each unique piece is guaranteed to turn heads and invite curious stares.
Zoe Cope Jewelry founded in 2015 fuses elements of mystery, nature, and the mystical to create defined + unusual designs. Consider each handmade piece to be an amulet incorporating a deep respect for Mother Nature, while focusing on bringing ceremony back into the act of wearing jewelry.
